Randy Von FumettiPartner and Financial Planner
Starting his career as an actuary, Randy went on to hold senior management positions with Allstate and ING/Voya Financial, and was Chief Financial Officer for Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company.
Due to being so focused on his career, Randy didn’t have the time to devote adequate attention to his own financial situation. He had stock options and restricted stock grants, yet he had no idea of how to maximize their full potential. Even though he was using an accountant to prepare his tax returns, no long range tax planning was being done. He also wasn’t giving his investment portfolio the attention it deserved.
Randy realized other executives were in a similar situation. He saw the opportunity to apply the modeling techniques that he used as an actuary to predict outcomes and develop planning strategies for individuals. After 23 years of helping companies manage risk and profitability at the enterprise level, he left the corporate world in 2002. He began to work one-on-one with other busy executives to help them resolve their financial concerns, just as he had experienced in his own life.
Randy enjoys researching new issues to bring creative solutions to complicated cases. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa. He has served on the board of ChildServe and the Finance Committee of his church. Randy and his wife, Sherry, have three adult children.
