Boutique Financial Planning and Investment Advisory Firm for Accredited Investors

Our Approach

Like other fee-only advisors we refuse to accept sales commissions from product manufacturers when you buy financial products. We don’t want the advice we give you to be biased by what we may or may not earn when you implement our advice.

Better yet, for most of our services we customize our pricing structure so that it is based upon each client’s unique circumstances. We do this because we believe different clients have different needs. We think your fee should be adjusted to the level of service you require and the services you select.

At River Glen, we have the following different pricing structures:

Discipline Service Complexity
Financial and Tax Planning Cash Flow Report Low Mid High
Net Worth Report Low Mid High
Income Tax Analysis Low Mid High
Education Funding Report Low Mid High
Retirement Report Low Mid High
Risk Planning
Cash Flow at Disability Report Low Mid High
Health & Long-Term Care Insurance Analysis Low Mid High
Cash Flow at Premature Death Report Low Mid High
Investment Planning Investment Policy Statement Small percentage of the assets you invest
Asset Allocation & Rebalancing Report
Security Selection, Monitoring, & Trading
Performance Report

We use the fixed fee approach for two of the services we provide, financial and tax planning and risk planning. For each service we provide, we will assess whether your needs are simple, moderate, or complex, and we will adjust our fees accordingly. If you have a simple need, you pay less. If you require complex support in any one area, you will pay more for that service.

We use a sliding asset based fee schedule for investment planning that varies with the amount of money you invest with us. The more you invest at River Glen, the lower the asset based fee.

No matter which fee structure is right for you, we think you’ll be impressed by how your fees are tailored to your unique needs.

"We built the firm from the ground up for you, the client…We wanted there to be no compensation conflicts, so that ought to make you feel at ease."
